Redbanks (about 5 minutes drive from Sunrise on Falie) is a must visit spot at sunset. A very special place rich in colour and geological history.

Some people mistake them for Porcupines - but in Australia, we have egg-laying mammals called Echidnas. Often seen at Sunrise on Falie.

Sailing from American River : the perfect place for any boating activity. Blue skies, sandy beaches, clear blue waters all year round.

Our local Boat Ramp is only 3 minutes drive away from Sunrise on Falie. A safe, large car park is available after you've launched. New pontoons make it easy to tie up and prepare. The calmness of American River makes boating and fishing a pleasure.

Stand on the American River jetty to get a great view at sunset.  

Magnificent Pennington Bay is our closest beach to American River (just 10 minutes away). Perfect for a swim, fish or walk, it's also a popular surfing beach and place to watch the sun set.

Kangaroos and Wallabies are all over K.I. Take a walk from Sunrise on Falie in any direction and you are bound to see them, especially at dusk and dawn.

Bird watchers will love the unspoilt, natural beauty of Kangaroo Island, so rich in native flowering brush, it is simply paradise for nectre seeking birds.
